The egress regulations apply to any room without an external door, such as a bedroom or office. This opening would give people enough room to escape a fire or rescue. The standard building procedures already follow this regulation, so children can still climb out of the egress window without any problems. An egress window must be at least 20 inches wide and 24 inches high with openings of at least 5.7 square feet, and sills shall not exceed 44 inches in height to qualify for the minimum requirement of escape emergency escape. If it fails to comply with these regulations, then egress window installation will have to be done again.
