What is ghostwriting, initially?

Ghostwriting is the practice of writing anything without putting your name on it. The client's name appears on the work's publication (the person for whom the ghostwriter writes). The client often pays the ghostwriter for their services, and occasionally, the ghostwriter receives a portion of the royalties. In return for a portion of the revenues, ghostwriting services will occasionally reduce their rates.
