What's the end goal of your project?

The first thing you'll need to consider is what your book's purpose is. Is it a business book, or do you want to write a personal memoir? How many people are going to read it and how many copies have been printed? What kind of audience are you ghost writing for? Are they young adults, or older adults? Do they have children who need help with homework and chores, or do they simply enjoy reading about interesting things in their spare time. All these questions will help give clarity on what sort of content should be included in your manuscript so that readers know exactly why they should buy this book rather than another one written by someone else!
